NY1 says Governor David Paterson sided recently with Mayor Michael Bloomberg that the September 11th Memorial should be the top priority at the World Trade Center site.

Paterson and Bloomberg want the memorial built in time for the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Last month, the head of the Port Authority suspended all construction deadlines for the site.

But after meeting with Bloomberg, Paterson now says they will work together to get the memorial finished more quickly.

Bloomberg is the chairman of the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation, which has raised $350 million.

  1. Absolutely, completing the construction of the Memorial should be a priority at the World Trade Center site. Whether or not it can be in place by 09/11/11, the ground on which so many innocent human beings instantly lost their lives, many whose remains have now embedded this terrain, and respect for the human spirit must remain the focal points of this enterprise.

We need to set an example by making this venture one of appreciating the beauty in creativity, in the living of each moment as if it is our last. We need to recognize the abundance in the human quality of loving our innate use of energetic force of the mind in conjunction with the agility of the body for the express purpose of heightened consciousness.
